Further to the recent announcement of our brand-new Splash Pad at Maidstone Leisure Centre and gym refurbishments at Lockmeadow Health Club and Maidstone Leisure Centre, the next of a series of exciting projects we’ve got coming your way in 2024 is the Adventure Golf Expansion at Mote Park Outdoor Adventure.
This is a significant project for Mote Park Outdoor Adventure, which means there will inevitably be delay to our normal seasonal opening. We’ve created this FAQ guide to keep all customers up to date alongside a planned timeline so you have an idea of when this will all take place.
These projects are funded by Maidstone Borough Council in conjunction with Maidstone Leisure Trust and Serco Leisure.
So… what are the plans?
We are upgrading our golf offering, expanding the number of holes to an 18-hole course.
What can we expect to see?
Keeping within the adventure theme, the new course comes complete with a full-sized jeep, dino theme and resurfacing.
When will the works start?
7th May and take 8 weeks to complete. There is a chance that we could open a little sooner if the weather allows the contractors to make speedy progress meaning the latest, we will open will be the weekend of the 6th and 7th July! Please stay tuned to our website and social media channels.
Does this effect the Sky Trail and Climbing Wall?
Unfortunately, it does. To complete these works during the right weather conditions means that we have had to delay the opening for 2024. However, we are certain that this is the right decision to ensure that our peak period between July and August is ready for you to enjoy a refreshed new offering!
Can I book now for the new season now?
We are pleased to advise our booking system will be live from the 7th June and will enable you to book from 6th July until 30th September. Remember that booking ahead for your adventure in advance saves you money verses paying on the day.
What will the opening times be?
Weekends and school holidays we plan to open 10am – 4pm.*
*Please note that we may cancel any activity due to adverse weather conditions that compromise safety e.g. winds above 28 mph, thunder, and lightning but we contact those that have booked to inform them and reschedule their booking for a new date and time or provide a full refund.
Sounds great, can I book a birthday party?
Absolutely! We provide parties from £12.95 per child including a mixture of Adventure Golf, Sky Trail and Climbing Wall.
Customers that book before the 6th July for the season ahead, can receive a 20% discount (Mote Park Outdoor Adventure only). To book you party at either Mote Park Outdoor Adventure of Maidstone Leisure Centre please contact jessica.sturrock@serco.com

Will anything be changing with the Sky Trail and Climbing Wall?
No. It’s just the Adventure Golf that we will receiving an upgrade.
I’ve never been before, what are the restrictions?
There are height and age restrictions on the Sky Trail and Climbing Wall, which can be found on our website, but the golf is from toddlers to pensioners. Do please note the recommended clothing and footwear for some of our activities.
